Wendy was born on August 1, 1981 in Wageningen, the Netherlands, and grew up in Noordwijk aan Zee, and Rhenen (NL).

She was scouted in 1998 during a youthfair and won the Dutch Elite Model Look in that same year. After passing her final exams, she moved to Amsterdam, soon followed by Milan, Paris and New York.

Wendy works for fashion, beauty and commercials, but most requests are for lingerie and swimwear.

She has served several times as a member of the jury and a host for national and international model competitions and has proven to have a talent for scouting new faces. She discovered some international working models.
