Born on April 12, 1985 in Muçum, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil - Jeisa grew up in a multi-ethnic country where she is no exception, being raised by parents (Ernani and Ivone) with Italian and German blood. She has two sisters, Grace (6 years older) and Jessica (5 years younger).

Jeisa was discovered in 1998, at the age of 13, by a Brazilian actor. She quickly graced the covers of Brazilian magazines and in 1999 she appeared in the Italian editions of Elle and Marie Claire. The year 2000 brought many fashion campaigns, both Brazilian and international, for the Brazilian teen and she could be seen in campaigns such as Emanuel Ungaro.
