Homemade Microwave Popcorn
Perhaps you have over done it a bit this Christmas, so you will be staying in this January; watching a lot of films to save money and staying off the booze. Good for you, however don't be tempted to reach for the fattening snacks! Instead make this 5 minute low fat pop corn as a guilt free treat.
Ingredients (for approx. 36 pies)|
- 100g unpopped popcorn kernnels
- 1 tsp vegetable oil
- 1/2 tsp salt, to taste
1. In a cup or small bowl, mix together the unpopped popcorn and oil. Pour the coated popcorn into a brown paper bag, then sprinkle in the salt. Fold the top of the bag over twice to seal in the ingredients.
2. Cook the bag in the microwave at full power for 2 1/2 to 3 minutes, or until you hear pauses of about 2 seconds between pops.
3. Carefully open the bag and avoid the steam, then pour into a serving bowl and enjoy.
Approx. 137 Kcal, 3.1g fat, 4.1g protein & 0.4g sugar.
