Autumn Apples
Enjoy crisp autumn nights with sweet and sticky bonfire apples. These are a great treat for a social occasion, cook them outside over a fire or barbecue for a great Halloween or bonfire night snack. Quick and easy with 0 fat they are a real winner!

Model Cooking: Autumn Apples
Ingredients (multiply by the number of guests you have)
  • 1 Bramley, Cox's or Royal Gala apple, cored

  • 1 tablespoon of soft dark brown sugar

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • A few walnuts (optional)

Method
1. Fill the core of the apple with the brown sugar, nuts and cinnamon. Wrap each apple in a large piece of tin foil, twisting the extra foil into a tail for a handle.

2. Place the apple in he coals of a fire or barbecue and let cook for 5 to 10 minutes, until softened. Remove and unwrap. Be careful of the hot sugar!
